Entry Requirements
1. Applicants shall be aged between 18 and 30 years old, non-Chinese citizens and valid foreign passport holders, healthy and well-behaved, with an educational background equivalent to that of the Chinese high school diploma, without any criminal records. Applicants should abide by the laws and decrees of the Chinese government and related rules of university, honor the Chinese social morality and customs, and will not participate in any activities which are inappropriate to the capacity as a student.
2. Chinese Proficiency Requirements
(1) Applicants for science and engineering program taught in Chinese must have HSK 4 certificate (with 180 points or above). HSK 5 certificate (with 180 points or above) is required for applicants for liberal arts, economic and management program. The certificate must be in valid period.
Applicants whose compulsory courses were taught in Chinese during secondary education (junior and senior high school) can be exempt from submitting HSK certificate by providing the academic documents.
(2) Applicants who haven't reached the required language level, can apply Chinese language program in the International Exchange College (hereinafter as "IEC"). After achieving HSK certificate, they can apply for the degree study.
3. According to the Document No. 12〔2020〕of the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (see Appendix 1), If the applicant's parents or one of the parents are Chinese or the applicant has emigrated from Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and acquired foreign nationality for, they must be naturalized for 4 years or more and have more than 2 years of residence in foreign countries during the past 4 years (Actual residence in a foreign country for 9 months out of a year may be counted as one year, based on entry and exit stamps).
---- Applicants who have given up their original Chinese citizenship and become foreign citizens should provide:
(1) Documents certifying the cancellation of Chinese citizenship;
(2) Documents certifying the acquirement of foreign citizenship;
(3) Exit and Entry Record on passport, from April 30, 2022 to April 30, 2026.
---- Applicants who have acquired foreign citizenship automatically at the time of birth in a foreign country, whose parents were both Chinese citizens, or one of the parents was a Chinese citizen should provide:
(1) Documents certifying acquiring foreign citizenship at the time of birth;
(2) Documents certifying parent's (with Chinese citizenship) permanent residence in foreign country before the birth of the applicant;
(3) Exit and Entry Record on passport, from April 30, 2022 to April 30, 2026.
If the applicant is concluded to have Chinese citizenship by the Chinese public security department after application, admission or enrollment, the applicant will be disqualified from application, admission or enrollment or withdrawal from school will be required.

*2. Highest Degree Graduation Certificate
-A formal graduation certificate of your highest completed education level (e.g., Senior High School, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree).
-If the document is not in Chinese or English, it must be translated into Chinese or English and notarized by an authorized translation agency or relevant authority. Self-translations are not accepted.
*3. Highest Degree Academic Transcripts
-Formal academic transcripts of your highest completed education level (e.g., Senior High School, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree), covering ALL academic years, NOT just the final year.
-If the document is not in Chinese or English, it must be translated into Chinese or English and notarized by an authorized translation agency or relevant authority. Self-translations are not accepted.
*4. Non-criminal Record Certificate
-Please note that this document is valid for only 3 months. For instance, if you submit your -application in April, your non-criminal record must have been issued no earlier than January.
-Obtain a police clearance certificate from the local police station where you currently reside, confirming no criminal record in the past 6 months at the time of application.
-You need to translated it into CHINESE if it is not in Chinese; Then you need to get it notarized by local notary office and then get it certified by local Chinese embassy; If your country has joined the HAGUE convention then just do the Chinese translation and Apostille; Then you may need to mail original copy of non-criminal record and translation & certified(or Apostille) documents to the university in China.
-If you are currently in China, the certificate must be issued by the local Chinese police.*5. Physical Examination Form
-Download the form template, print it, and bring it to a hospital for the required medical tests. The hospital will complete the form with your results.

-The medical examination must cover all items listed on the form.
-Ensure your photo is attached and the form is stamped and signed by the hospital after the examination.
-The medical results are valid for 6 months only.
-Forms that are incomplete, lack a final physician’s suggestion, missing the attending physician’s signature, official hospital stamp, or applicant’s sealed photo will be considered invalid.
